Week 16 started with a pizza and ended with some rather pleasing photos. I learnt that no matter how bored I become of eating vegetables that pizza and fried potatoes just aren’t as enjoyable as they used to be.
Day 106:
I started the day wanting banana pancakes. I made them for the others and tasted some but I didn’t have any myself because they were too sweet. Then I spent the rest of the day feeling irritable and bored with eating veg.
By 4pm I called a family meeting and decreed that tonight would be an official ‘night off’. Pizza and Pandemonium ensued.
Day 107:
After the food related chaos of last night I was determined to get back on the straight and narrow today.
It lasted until lunchtime.
Don’t ask me why I ate the rice crackers that I don’t like and made my mouth burn – I don’t know. I just couldn’t stop until they were all gone.
Some days that’s just the way it goes.
I put aside my transgression and started again.
Day 108:
A good day. Perfect water intake and good protein.
I didn’t want to workout but I’m glad that I did.
Day 109:
I balled up today. I was disorganised, didn’t eat enough and everything went to bollocks.
Finally we were allowed to have massages. I’d booked myself in with the utterly brilliant Michaela of Balanced Massage. She’d been studying during lockdown and had done an advanced course in neck and head massage.
It was amazing and I slept like a baby.
Day 110:
I had a bit of a headache all day. My lunchtime workout with Luke was gentle but exactly what I needed.
I had a long soak in the bath and an early night. I can say with some authority that Neal’s Yard Aromatic Foam Bath is the cure for all known ills.
Day 111:
I’d been feeling a bit exhausted recently so I took a couple of days holiday. It was nice just to be away from work and have time to potter about the house.
I drank loads of water and ate well. With hindsight I should have included a Vega Clean protein shake today.
Day 112:
The end of week 16! I cannot believe that I’ve been doing this for 4 months.
I took my progress photos and was delighted with them.
It was hot and I didn’t feel like eating. The lunchtime workout was hard and by the evening I just wanted a different for dinner. I thought that I’d enjoy something out of the ordinary, but it turned out that I didn’t.
End of Week 16 Progress Photos:
I am really rather pleased with the progress to date. I cannot wait to see the changes after another 4 months.
This is the photo that I’m most pleased with. I know that I’ve still got a belly but week after week it keeps getting smaller.
Side Quest Progress Photos:
At the end of Week 14 I embarked on a Side Quest. These are not any leggings, these are Sweaty Betty Power leggings in a small size.
They are also a smidge tighter than they should be – but after 14 days there is a small but noticeable difference.
Your blog is teaching me one big lesson, consistency is key.
I find some days far harder than others and those are the days you have to keep going!
Thanks for your honesty as usual xx
I’m learning that too! If I have a day where I could have made better choices then I’ve realised that I just have to draw a line under it and move on.
I’m also finding that the more I stick to it the better choices I make.
Keep going – and the good days will start to outweigh the bad.
Xxx
